Tickers and Scrolling Text

My broswer gets slow. When I go to scroll down the index, my page moves slow and choppy.
Idea

yeah that's the theme I do believe I mentioned this somewhere sometime and I'm trying to find a new theme cause I can't really design anything half decent to match the banner (and something that's not flashy lol). You'll have to use the scroll bar and manually drag it down, I'll see what I can do but it may take me a while I'm really sorry =X

s'okay... I used to admin some forum sites, and even one with phpBB once, but never one of these free-forum thingers. They may not even give you the option to turn off scrolling tickers.

Are you talking about the scrolling text up top or the latest topics module? The module itself isn't an option (unless you set it to like 5 recent topics it wouldn't have to scroll) but the announcements up top can be turned off Smile

They aren't causing the lag though Razz

It's the actual theme itself cause I remember getting the same type of lag when Rangers had showed me an example set of forums and I had the same lag Sad
